Quality metal model of RNZAF A4K Skyhawk aircraft with antenna, landing gear and stand.
The A4K Skyhawk was an upgraded version of the A-4 Skyhawk light attack aircraft originally developed by the Douglas Aircraft Company. The New Zealand Armed Forces used this variant, which underwent extensive modifications and upgrades.
The A4K Skyhawk had improved avionics, radar and weapon systems compared to the original A-4 versions. This upgrade included the installation of new electronic systems that increased the aircraft's combat capabilities and survivability. It also had more modern communication equipment and navigation systems.
This version of the A-4 was in active service with the New Zealand Air Force until 2001, when all A4K Skyhawk aircraft were retired. In total, only a few A-4s were upgraded to the A4K version, and each had its own unique service and modification history.
