The Eurocopter AS 350 Écureuil, nicknamed the Squirrel, is a light single-engine multi-purpose helicopter with a three-blade main rotor and a two-blade tail rotor. It was originally manufactured by Aérospatiale, which later became part of the Eurocopter Group. In North America, it was marketed under the designation AStar. The twin-engine version of the helicopter is called the Eurocopter AS 355 Écureuil 2, and in North America it was known as the TwinStar. The Eurocopter EC 130 is also conceptually similar, using the same airframe as its base.
