In reality, Eurowings should have a purely Airbus A319 and A320 fleet, and in 2021 the few Airbus A321s received from the Air Berlin integration from the Laudamotion stock were quickly returned. Now some routes require the capacity of a large Airbus and Eurowings will add the Airbus A321 to its fleet. As early as April 2023, six old Lufthansa Airbus A321 aircraft are to be transferred to Eurowings to be used on high-demand routes.
