Product description

High-quality metal model of Lutfhansa Airbus A321-271NX civil aircraft. The package includes a chassis, an antenna and a stand.

The Airbus A321 is a member of the Airbus A320 family of short- to medium-range twin-engine commercial narrow-body passenger jets; transports 185 to 236 passengers. It has a stretched fuselage, which was the first derivative of the basic A320 and entered service in 1994, about six years after the original A320. The aircraft shares a common type classification with all other variants of the Airbus A320 family, allowing previous A320 family pilots to fly the aircraft without the need for additional training.

In December 2010, Airbus announced the next generation of the A320 family, the A320neo (new engine option). Similarly, the extended-fuselage A321neo variant offers new, more efficient engines combined with improvements to the airframe and the addition of wings (called Sharklets by Airbus). The plane brings fuel savings of up to 15%. The A321neo carries up to 244 passengers with a maximum range of 4,000 nmi (7,400 km; 4,600 mi) for the long-range version carrying no more than 206 passengers.

Final assembly of the aircraft takes place in Hamburg, Germany and in Mobile, Alabama, USA. As of May 2023, a total of 2,830 A321s have been delivered, of which 2,770 are in service. In addition, another 3,636 aircraft are on firm order (including 7 A321ceo and 3,629 A321neo). American Airlines is the largest operator of the Airbus A321 with 288 aircraft in its fleet.
