This model represents the United Airlines 727-100, registration N7001U, as it appeared in 1991 after being repainted in its original delivery livery. Limited edition with 720 pieces worldwide. N7001U was delivered to United Airlines on October 6th, 1964 and remained in continual service until 1991. During its career with United it accumulated 64,495 hours and made 48,060 landings, and flew an estimated three million passengers. United paid $4.4 million for the airplane, which in turn generated revenue in excess of $300 million during its service life. Having been repainted in the original United livery N7001U made its final landing 28 years later at Paine Field, Everett, Washington, on January 13th, 1991, after flying its last revenue trip 838 SFO-SEA. N7001U is now a proud member of the static aircraft at the Museum of Flight in Seattle.
