Product description
High-quality metal model of the car ALFA ROMEO TZ1 N 72 TARGA FLORIO 1965 PANEPINTO - PARLA in detailed design.
The Targa Florio was a public road endurance car race held in the mountains of Sicily near the island's capital Palermo. It was founded in 1906 and was the oldest sports car competition, being part of the World Sports Car Championship from 1955 to 1973. While the first races consisted of a tour of the entire island, the length of the course in recent decades has been limited to the 72 km (45 mi) Circuito Piccolo delle Madonie, which has been driven 11 times.
After 1973 it was a national sports car event until it was discontinued in 1977 for safety reasons. Since then, it has been run as the Targa Florio Rally, a rally event, and is part of the Italian Rally Championship.
