ATR 42 is a twin-engine turboprop airliner designed for shorter regional routes. It is a product of the Italian-French company Aerei di Trasporto Regionale. The Kyiv-based airline was founded in 2009 as a subsidiary of the Russian UTair. A significant difference from the Russian mother was the attractive design of the tail unit, which was based on traditional Ukrainian embroidery. In 2015, the airline was sold and renamed Azur Air Ukraine, domestic scheduled routes were canceled and the focus was on charter flights.
