The BMW 700 is the first BMW ever with a self-supporting all-steel carriage. The car was manufactured from August 1959 until September 1965. At first, the BMW 700 Coupé was launched, followed by the BMW 700 (Sedan), BMW 700 Sport, BMW LS Luxus (1962 until 1965) and the BMW LS Coupé (1964 and 1965). The fan-cooled two-cylinder light-metal crank case was derived from the motorcycle and is built into the rear. The first version 1959 has a 30 HP output at 5000 r/min..
