High-quality metal-plastic model of the Boeing 727-100 aircraft in white-blue-red design. The model package also includes a magnetic, removable chassis, thanks to which you can display the model in different positions.
The only three-engine Boeing aircraft ever built, it entered service on February 1, 1964. To this day, the 727, with its distinctive T-tail and three rear-mounted engines, remains one of the most popular and recognizable aircraft. During 2024, Herpa will commemorate the 60th anniversary of the 727 with a small range of new models in a classic design. Delta Air Lines later became the largest customer, operating a total of more than 190,727 of both series. However, the Atlanta, Georgia-based airline did not receive its first aircraft until its acquisition of Northeast Airlines in 1972, including eight examples of the short-haul 727-100, including N1635, built and delivered in 1966.
