At the same time as Icelandair joined the national airline of Cape Verde, a new livery was introduced in 2018. Each of the currently three Boeing 757s received a different color variation, each of which is intended to reflect an island in the group of islands off Africa in the Atlantic.

The color combination on D4-CCF is reminiscent of the colors of the island of Sal and the Baía de Santa Maria, their most famous beach.
