To honor the 90th anniversary of Hawaiian Airlines, we look back at the four-engine “Dash 7”, which was used on routes between the islands from 1981 to 1994 with its excellent short-start properties. The “Pualani” painting, which has now become an icon, was introduced shortly before. The name "Pualani" is of Hawaiian origin and means something like "heavenly flower"; a maiden name still common in Hawaii today.
