Quality metal model of the Swissair Caravelle SE210 civil aircraft. For pre-order. The picture is for illustration only.
The SE 210 Caravelle was the first short- and medium-haul jet airliner built in 1955 by the French company Sud-Aviation, which was known as SNCASE. The aircraft was the first French jet aircraft and was also the first aircraft to have the engines mounted on separate nacelles at the rear of the aircraft, achieving a clean wing. This construction solution was and is used in many other types of aircraft. The Caravelle aircraft broke into markets in Europe and was also successfully sold in the United States, where United Airlines became the main user.
