High-quality metal model of the Corvette Stingray Convertible (C2) 1967 from the Chevrolet company in red. The model comes packaged on a stand.
The origins of the 1963 production Sting Ray can be traced back to two separate GM projects: the Q-Corvette and Bill Mitchell's racing Sting Ray. The 1957 Q-Corvette exercise envisioned a smaller, more advanced Corvette as a coupe-only model, boasting a rear transmission, independent rear suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes, with the rear brakes mounted inboard. The exterior styling was purposeful, with peaked fenders, a long nose and a short, tapered tail.
