In 1982 - 27 May it was withdrawn from service following the closure of the Paris-Dakar-Rio route as it was the aircraft undergoing airframe repairs following a hard landing at Dakar in November 1977 (the landing was at 14 feet per second against the standard limit of 10 frames per second and caused the rear bumper.wheel to be crushed). It was later distributed in 1994 at Charles de Gaulle, Paris, France. After 12 years out of service, it suffered severe corrosion. The nose assembly was sold to a wealthy American on March 16, 1995 for FF 300,000 (~€45,730). The rest of the fuselage was moved to Dugny, near the taxiways at Le Bourget.
