Even after more than 60 years since its maiden flight, the B-58 has lost nothing of its elegance. The aim was to develop a nuclear bomber that could reach twice the speed of sound. The result was a delta wing with a wasp waist. The main load, an atomic bomb, was “packed” in a large external tank.
