The Curtiss SB2C Helldiver was an American military aircraft that was produced during World War II. It was a carrier-based bomber that was used by the US Naval Air Force and US Naval Reserves in the fight against Japanese forces in the Pacific. The SB2C was very efficient compared to its predecessor the SB2A, with better speed and power. It was armed with five 12.7 mm machine guns and four 20 mm cannons and could carry up to 1000 kg of bombs. The SB2C Helldiver was an important combat aircraft in World War II and was used until the 1950s.
