The Eurowings spin-off, which was originally founded in 2021 as Eurowings Discover, served long-haul tourist destinations in North America, the Caribbean and Africa with a fleet of Airbus A330s. In order to differentiate itself more clearly from Eurowings, which is now focused on the low-cost segment, parent company Lufthansa separated the leisure airline division and changed it to Discover Airlines, including independent branding. In addition to the three A330-200s, the fleet includes ten A330-300s with an extended fuselage and space for up to 302 passengers. One more aircraft will soon be transferred from Lufthansa to Discover to expand the long-haul network to popular holiday destinations.
