The Dornier DO-X D-1929 was a huge experimental aircraft designed and built in 1929 by Dornier Flugzeugwerke in Germany. It was the largest aircraft of its time, with a wingspan of up to 48 meters and a fuselage length of 40 meters. It was powered by 12 engines and had a capacity for 100 passengers. This aircraft was intended to cover oceanic distances, but its performance was below average and it was prone to breakdowns. Nevertheless, the DO-X aircraft became a well-known and attractive symbol of the technological progress of the time. The DO-X aircraft took part in several important air shows, including a visit to the United States in 1931, where it became an attraction for many spectators. However, due to technical problems and financial difficulties, the DO-X series of aircraft was finally canceled in 1933, and only a few pieces have survived to the present day and are on display in museums.
