Limited edition of the Douglas DC-9-15 KLM "Amsterdam" metal model, the package includes a stand.
From the 1934 DC-2 to the 1990 MD-11, KLM ordered everything the California aircraft designer had to offer. With the DC-9, KLM was the first non-American airline to put Douglas' first twinjet into service and at the same time introduced a new livery. The original of this model was introduced as the first DC-9-15 by KLM in March 1966 with the baptismal name "City of Amsterdam". From 1967, 22 more stretched DC-9-32s came to the Dutch airline. The last DC-9 left the fleet in 1989.
