Quality metal model of the LOT Polish Airlines Ilyushin IL-62M "Ignacy Paderewski" civil aircraft. The model is detailed and precisely processed according to the real machine.
Entered into service in 1972, the four-engine IL-62 was the first long-haul aircraft of Polish LOT, with which the airline added new long-haul destinations such as Toronto, New York and East Asia to its schedule. . This IL-62M is named after the internationally known Polish composer and pianist Ignacy Paderewski, who also became famous as a diplomat and the first prime minister of the Polish state, which regained its independence in 1919. The 1:500 scale model of this aircraft appears with the paintwork introduced in 1977, which, except for occasional minor modifications, has remained current to this day. This also applies to the airline logo, which was first introduced in 1929.
