High-quality metal model of the McDonnell Douglas MD11 airplane, made according to the real model. The model is packed in a paper box with a stand, antenna and chassis.
The McDonnell Douglas MD-11 is an American three-jet wide-body transport aircraft manufactured by the American manufacturer McDonnell Douglas. The MD-11 is a medium- to long-range wide-body transport aircraft with two engines mounted on underwing pylons and a third engine at the base of the vertical stabilizer. It is based on the DC-10, but has a stretched fuselage, increased wingspan with ailerons, improved wing and tailplane profiles, new engines and increased use of composites. The ailerons are credited with improving fuel efficiency by around 2.5%. The MD-11 is less sharp than the DC-10 on which it is based.
