High-quality metal model of the police car Mercedes-Benz 190E(W201) N67 of the Dutch police from 1993. The model is on a base and a PVC box. The model does not have opening parts.
The Mercedes-Benz W201 was the internal designation for the Mercedes 190 series sedans, a line of front-engine, rear-wheel drive four-door sedans produced for one generation from 1982 to 1993 as the first compact class car. .
Designed by Bruno Sacco, head of Mercedes-Benz styling from 1975 to 1999, the W201 debuted at the Paris Motor Show in 1982. Produced in both Bremen and Sindelfingen, Germany, production reached 1,879,629 during the model's eleven-year lifespan.[1 ]
The W201 introduced the 5-link rear suspension subsequently used on the E and C-Class models, front and rear anti-roll bars, anti-dive and anti-squat geometry – as well as airbags, ABS brakes and seat belt pre-tensioners. Its extensive use of lightweight high-strength steel allowed it to withstand a concrete barrier impact at 35 mph (56 km/h) without seriously injuring the occupants or deforming the cabin.
Mercedes introduced a performance variant at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1983, sold as the 190 E 2.3-16V. The last Mercedes-Benz 190E was produced on May 17, 1993.
