Mercedes-Benz is a German car manufacturer. Its history began in 1880. Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz laid the foundation for the motorization of road transport with their inventions of the high-speed engine and the automobile, which they discovered independently of each other. Subsequently, in 1883, Karl Benz founded his own company, Benz & Cie, and in November 1890, the company Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft (DMG) was founded by Gottlieb Daimler.
