Mercedes-Benz is a German car manufacturer. Its history began in 1880. Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz laid the foundation for the motorization of road transport with their inventions of the high-speed engine and the automobile, which they discovered independently of each other. Subsequently, in 1883, Karl Benz founded his own company, Benz & Cie, and in November 1890, the company Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft (DMG) was founded by Gottlieb Daimler. Both founders of the famous car company were looking for a brand for their products that would express the uniqueness and grace that already belonged to their products back then. At first they used their surnames. Until 1909, when the gear wheel was replaced by a laurel wreath around the Benz name.
