Moskvich-408 is a passenger car of the Soviet manufacturer Moskovsky Zavod Malolitraschnych Avtomobilej (abbreviated MZMA, since 1968 AZLK for Awtomobilny Zavod imeni Leninskovo Komsomola, known for using the Moskvich brand), it was built in serial production from 1964 to 1975. It is the successor of the Moskvich-403, for which MZMA has already used the Moskvich-408 floor assembly. Since 1967, the Moskvich-412 was produced in parallel, which differed mainly in a more powerful engine.
