High quality metal model of the Pontiac Bonneville Convertible, 1959 dunkelorange. The model has rotating wheels.
Bunkie Knudsen took his new plans for Pontiac a giant step forward in 1959 with a new "Wide Track" concept that widened the tread more than 4.5 inches front and rear on the new Bonneville. Handling and cornering were greatly improved, and the new stance provided stylists with the basis for the most attractive and delicious styling packages of the year. The new Bonneville featured a massive greenhouse, sweeping front and rear decks and, for the first time, the split front grille that became a trademark of Pontiac styling.
Magnificent in size and presentation, the 1959 Bonneville convertible showcased not only its attractive new styling, but also the famous new performance of the 389 Tri Power engine, which would soon gain fame as the core of the ever-evolving Pontiac model. Options abound, with Power Steering and Brakes, Deluxe Wheel Covers, Super Deluxe Radio, Safeguard Speedometer, Exterior Illuminated Mirrors and an extremely rare RCA 45 RPM Turntable!
