The Scania PRT range (also known as the Scania LPGRS range or the Scania PGRT range), also referred to as the new truck range or the Scania truck range, is the current range of trucks produced by the Swedish commercial vehicle manufacturer Scania. It was first introduced as a successor to the 4-series in the spring of 2004 with the Scania R-series high-front control cab, followed later in the year by the Scania P-series low-front control cab and the Scania T-series bonnet cab. The hooded model was discontinued in 2005. In 2007, the Scania G series was introduced with a medium front cab, which was derived from the R series. The entire range is modular and provides a wide range of different configurations for different types of trucks. The trucks are available with engines ranging from a 9-liter I5 to a 16-liter V8, with the V8 only available in the higher model. The second generation launched in August 2016, the first was the Scania S series, which was the first model with a flat floor. In December 2017, the low-end version of the second generation Scania L series was also launched.
