Scania series 4 is a model line of trucks, introduced by Scania in 1995. It was the successor of series 3. There were five engines, three types of cabins and four chassis configurations. In 2004, the new P/G/R range replaced the range in Europe, however, in Brazil, production of the 4 Series continued until 2007. The interior of the 4 Series was designed by Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiaro.
In 1996, the 4 Series won the Truck of the Year award. After the 4 Series has been on sale for over eight years, around 300,000 units of the model range have been sold in total.
