High-quality metal model of the Škoda 110R passenger car from 1970 in detailed design according to the real model. The model has rotating wheels. The model is packed in a paper box on a stand.
Škoda 110 R (type 718-K) is a two-door, four-seater coupe, the body of which is derived from the Škoda 110 model. It was produced at the Czech-Slovak Automobile Works in Mladá Boleslav n. Mr. in the years 1970-1980 at the Škoda Kvasiny plants.
During the production of Škoda 1000 MB/1100 MB cars, the car manufacturer introduced the Škoda 1000 MBX model, which had a two-door body. This vehicle, due to the absence of a B-pillar and large doors, did not have much body rigidity. In 1968, with the arrival of the updated Škoda 110 model series, the car company decided to continue with the production of sports coupés and thus derived the Coupé 110 R from the 110LS model. Their model was the successful Simca 1200 S. The chassis groups of the car were identical to the Škoda 110LS vehicle, but changes bodywork and in the interior. The idea behind the concept of this car was later repeated during the development of the Škoda Garde car, which later replaced the 110 R in production.
