Škoda 1200 was a personal and light utility vehicle of the middle class, produced by the national enterprise Automobilové závody (AZNP). The classic concept vehicle with a backbone frame was structurally based on the older type Škoda 1101/1102, nicknamed Tudor and produced since the second half of the 1940s. The Škoda 1200 already had a completely new all-metal body, the first of the brand's production vehicles. In September 1949, the first car prototype was created and serial production began in 1952. In 1956, it was replaced by the modernized Škoda 1201 type with a more powerful engine, produced until 1961. Both types were popularly known as Sedan.
