High-quality metal model of the civil aircraft Sukhoi Superjet 100 with registration number 97001. The model is precisely and in detail processed according to the real aircraft.
In 2001, the Sukhoi Civil Aviation Division began development of a new regional jet to replace the outdated Soviet Tupolev TU-134 and Yakovlev Yak-42. On May 19, 2008, the time was right: the prototype with production identification number 97001 took off for its first flight. Our first 1/200 scale metal model of the Superjet appears in Sukhoi factory colors with an eye-catching blue fuselage. The program was plagued by technical problems at the start of series production; deliveries to customers of mainly Russian airlines were delayed. Difficulties with the first exports to Mexico and Western Europe, due in part to the lack of a maintenance network, as well as sanctions imposed as a result of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, contributed to its success. So far, a little over 200 specimens have been delivered.
