This SU-30 was painted with the portrait of Pavel Osipovich Sukhoi, the aerospace engineer and founder of the Soviet Union‘s Sukhoi Design Bureau, today‘s Sukhoi Joint Stock Company. The aircraft is mainly to be seen on the company‘s facilities in Komsomolsk-on-Amur in Eastern Russia, and is used as a company demonstrator and trial aircraft. The SU-30 is a two-seated development from the air superiority fighter SU-27, equally capable and equipped to fulfill the interception and attack roles.
