This tin TATRA T 815 expands our range of popular "Dakarek". This year, the start returned to Paris after 4 years. The organizers did not spare the starting competitors and selected the most difficult stages from previous years and supplemented them with other, equally demanding ones. The Czech TATRA MARATHON TEAM started with three vehicles. One of them is this one, which boasts starting number 419, crew: Sklenovský, Hamerla, Tomeček.
This trio carried all the technical equipment and basically went as a support vehicle. Even so, the competitors performed well and held an excellent 6th place. Unfortunately, only until the unlucky 9th stage, when the crew was ambushed by armed robbers who stole the Tatra and crossed with it. The crew thus had to say goodbye to the rest of the race unwillingly and through no fault of their own.
