The new tanker's massive fuselage, developed from the A330-200, can carry more than 100 metric tons of fuel to service other aircraft or 45 metric tons of cargo or 300 troops. The A330 MRTT itself can fly up to 14,800 km under optimal conditions. The first customer was Australia, which put the first of seven aircraft into service in mid-2011. To date, these countries have ordered more than 80 aircraft for their air forces. In addition to hose reels on the wings, this new 1/200 scale tool also has a refueling boom at the rear that can be displayed in two positions.
