Product description

High-quality metal model of the Boeing 757-300 "Island" passenger aircraft of the airline Condor. The model is detailed according to the real model.

In the mid-1970s, Boeing began developing a successor to its best-selling medium-haul aircraft, the 727 trijet. The result was a twin-engine 757 that promised better performance and greater efficiency. Between 1981 and 2004, at least 1,050 aircraft were to leave Boeing's assembly lines. This was followed by a variant stretched by seven meters, intended mainly for medium-haul routes, such as those served by the German holiday airline Condor. This variant was the 757-300, which has an overall length of 54.4 meters (178 feet) and is certified for up to 295 passengers in a single-class seating configuration. The first customer, Condor, has taken delivery of 15 of these aircraft since 1999 and is the largest operator of this variant alongside Continental Airlines and Delta Air Lines. Current plans call for the remaining eight Condor 757-300s to be retired by the end of 2025 and replaced by new Airbus A321neo aircraft, the first of which have already entered the fleet. Four of these aircraft have been given a new eye-catching livery. In the case of D-ABOL, the blue stripes are designed to encourage a taste for the sea and are sure to put holidaymakers in a good mood before they leave.
