EI-HHJ was delivered in September 2022 as the second of four A220 currently operated by ITA. Instead of the striking blue lacquer, the italienische Airline decided to underline the Nachthaltigkeit des currently kleinsten Flugzeugs in der Flotte mit einer klaren Botschaft. Not only is the A220 up to 50% lighter than older airplanes, but it also reduces CO2 emissions and Kerosene consumption by around 25% compared to the A320 fleet. Die vier Exemplare come first from Rome auf Strecken nach Genf, Genova, Milan, München, Naples und Zürich zum Einsatz.
