The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 is a supersonic multirole fighter developed in the Soviet Union in the 1950s. It was and still is used by the air forces of more than 30 countries, where it has been successfully serving for almost 50 years, since in many parameters (especially in speed exceeding Mach 2) it surpassed even much later constructed aircraft. More than 10,000 of these aircraft were produced, making it the most produced supersonic aircraft in the world. It was deployed in several armed conflicts. Among other things, in several Arab-Israeli wars, or in the Vietnam War.
