Quality resin model of the Porsche 911 S/T car from 1970 from the 24h Le Mans race, driven by P. Mauroy and R. Mazzia.
For racing at the time, 911 STs were produced in limited numbers (~25) (the ST production run only lasted from 1970 to 1972, with the majority of cars being produced in 1972) A distinctive feature of the 911/t was the introduction of flared fenders - a future staple of the 911. The mismatched front/rear Fuchs/Minilite wheels came about as a result of the widening because Porsche didn't make a Fuchs-style wheel big enough for the rear 4.30/11.3-15 on 9" wheels. The front tires were also widened from standard to 7 "inch wheels with 4.75/10-15 tires. When the cars were available with 2195cc, 2466cc or 2492cc engines. 2.5-liter unit with 270 hp (199 kW; 266 hp) at 8,000 rpm. [clarification needed] Weight dropped to 960 kg (2,120 lb). Because the car was built to order for racing purposes, no two 911 s/ts were the same; some used thinner steel parts and some used aluminum or fiberglass; some used 2.2 L engines and others used 2.5 L; others still did not have mismatched tires or used a different size depending on the circuit.
